Paradyne HotWire 5030 - POTS splitter - external - DSL - 2 digital port(s) / 1 analog port(s)
At the customer premises, POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) splitters or POTS filters can be installed to separate the voice and data signals. Hotwire POTS Splitters allow for normal telephone voice service to travel over the existing in-house telephone wire while splitting off the high-speed DSL data traffic to flow transparently to the Hotwire DSL modem on a separate wire. POTS filters, on the other hand, allow the DSL and voice traffic to stay together on the in-house wiring and travel to every phone jack in the residence. These small micro filters are customer installable and easily snapped in-line, with each phone, using the convenient RJ11 connectors. The Hotwire family of POTS products are all passive devices requiring no AC or DC power and deliver uninterrupted "lifeline" POTS regardless of the Hotwire modem being powered on or off.
