To optimize the overall performance of a Cisco wireless LAN, it is important to understand how to maximize radio coverage with the appropriate antenna selection and placement. An antenna system comprises numerous components, including the antenna, mounting hardware, connectors, antenna cabling, and in some cases, a lightning arrestor. This antenna contains two standard 2.2 dBi "rubber duck" and 36" of cable with two MMCX connectors for use with LMC radio cards. It has a platform with an adhesive backing to raise the antennas above obstructions.
