Paradyne FrameSaver FLEX 9123 - DSU/CSU - EN, Fast EN, Frame Relay
FrameSaver FLEX joins Paradyne's suite of award-winning frame relay service level management solutions with a new DSU/CSU platform that provides heretofore-unmatched capability at an affordable price. FrameSaver FLEX is a highly advanced frame relay diagnostic system representing the next generation of CPE capable of activating tiered layers of management intelligence on demand. FLEX's innovative "all-in-one" solution is designed to fit a customer's current requirements and also provide support for future network growth and migration demands. FLEX's ability to adapt on command to support various service types allows it to effortlessly and affordably carries a network from Leased Line to Basic Frame Relay to Advanced Frame services while eliminating migration problems, costly swap-outs, and time-consuming upgrades. FrameSaver FLEX installs easily with a transparent "Leased Line" installation feature that uses standard, well-established procedures for a straightforward installation that does not require configuration of any frame relay parameters. FLEX can operate as a Leased Line SNMP DSU/CSU for basic Layer 1 connectivity or as an intelligent Frame Relay DSU/CSU with a choice of advanced diagnostics or full Service Level Management features. When you are ready to migrate from Leased Line to a Basic Frame Relay service, a simple command activates FLEX's Frame Relay Frame Aware Mode to provide you with advanced diagnostics and comprehensive trouble isolation capabilities. Frame Aware Mode gives you end-to-end visibility and control with full SNMP MIBs, device health and status information, non-disruptive PVC diagnostics, and a Telnet menu-driven interface with password security and authorization levels. When future demands dictate the need for additional frame relay intelligence with service level verification, FLEX again simplifies migration by offering an optional command activated "SLV Key" that provides full SLM service capabilities. FrameSaver FLEX can be managed via Telnet or via OpenLane - Paradyne's powerful, Web-based element management system. OpenLane is a state-of-the-art, highly scalable, management platform designed for Enterprise standalone operation, or for easy integration into existing NSP systems. OpenLane provides over 30 FRF.13 compliant SLA network performance reports that feature powerful filtering and sorting capabilities. FLEX is fully standards based and designed to easily integrate with third-party management systems. This FrameSaver FLEX establishes 64 PVC's (Permanent Virtual Circuit).
