Extending the NEC MultiSync LCD 80 Series, the LCD1980SX model shares the advanced capabilities, outstanding screen performance and ultra-thin frame design that distinguish the intelligent displays from mainstream models. Aggressively priced, the NEC MultiSync LCD1980SX has been engineered to help high-end users efficiently process and respond to dynamically changing information in financial, call center, graphic art, medical and public display environments. Equipped with NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display's NaViSet software, the NEC MultiSync LCD1980SX enables professionals to easily adjust display settings with a mouse and keyboard instead of using the monitor's up-front buttons. The NaViSet Administrator software includes Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI), providing IT professionals with remote control and access to the monitor and its settings without having to disrupt users. These capabilities are based on the Display Data Channel Command Interface (DDC/CI), which allows control commands to be sent directly to the monitor by a local system or remotely over an existing network (LAN). The NEC MultiSync LCD1980SX monitor also offers consistent, long-distance signals with longer cables that can be centrally located in control rooms up to 326 feet/100 meters away from users. In high traffic environments, such as command and control centers, call centers and trading room floors, this feature alleviates the problem of how to conduct monitor upgrades, services and repairs without interrupting the work environment. Using CableComp technology for sharp image reproduction, the monitor solves the problem of weakened signals by using a digitized signal delay circuit to automatically compensate for each red, green and blue cable's length and video signal delay. For professionals that want the widest range of computer video compatibilities between analog and digital systems, the NEC MultiSync LCD1980SX provides a DVI-I connector for digital or analog input, a DVI-D connector for digital-only input, and a third input is provided with a traditional 15-pin VGA connector for legacy analog-only connection. The monitor offers a virtually uninterrupted display of full-motion video with a response time of 25 ms using NEC's Rapid Response technology. It delivers streaming video for gaming and video applications without distracting ghosting or blurring, while achieving up to 40 frames per second. Enhanced control over the NEC MultiSync LCD1980SX monitor is extended to the advanced user menu, which delivers additional user-control features including automatic black level adjustment for easy management of grayscale images. AutoBright is another capability that enables professionals to adjust brightness levels based on the screen for optimal readability, reducing eyestrain and conserving energy. To minimize the need for users to modify their settings, Advanced No Touch Auto Adjust provides an optimal image upon initial power-on and detects closed signal changes even if they run under the same resolution and refresh rates to create a more stable image after switching. The NEC MultiSync LCD1980SX monitor delivers crisp images and text with a native resolution of 1280 x 1024 @ 60 HZ. With XtraView wide-angle viewing technology, the NEC MultiSync LCD1980SX provides flexible horizontal and vertical viewing angles up to 170-degrees. To add flexibility, the monitor not only offers a height-adjustable stand and has the capability to pivot; it also enables touch or protective glass integration.
