Kentrox DataSMART 681 - DSU/CSU - T1 - 64 Kbps
The DataSMART 681 Frame Monitoring DSU/CSU is the ideal entry to managed Frame Relay solutions. It provides stabile, remote office interconnection or Internet access at an economical price. The DataSMART 681 data service unit (DSU) provides network access to digital data service (DDS) at speeds of 56 or 64 kbps. It monitors end-to-end Frame Relay performance, including Virtual Circuit (VC) statistics, utilization, and network delays. It is compatible with the T1/FT1 Frame Monitoring DataSMART DSUs. The DataSMART 681 DSU is typically managed in-band through the DDS network inter-face or through the data port. The DataSMART 681 can also be used to provide access for traditional leased-line DDS services. With a few simple configuration changes, the same unit can later monitor Frame Relay services.
