The Equinox Internet Broadband Gateway (IBG) is a multi-function connectivity product designed for small-to-mid-size businesses and Enterprise workgroups. The IBG-100/7 is a high-speed cable/DSL Internet sharing router with built-in Firewall and 7-Port 10/100 auto-sensing Ethernet Switch. The IBG provides an economical and effortless connectivity solution for small to mid-size businesses and enterprise workgroups. Using Network Address Translation (NAT), the IBG creates a private network of up to 253 clients and servers and permits those devices to share a single broadband Cable/xDSL account. The NAT firewall acts to shield these systems from intruders. Unlike other broadband sharing devices that unconditionally isolate local devices from public access, the IBG's revolutionary Dynamic Domain Name Service (DDNS) enables name-based (URL) access to selective servers and services within your private network. Installation, configuration and user management is a snap. Simply attach a PC to the IBG and select configuration parameters using your favorite browser.
