HP ProCurve Switch 8000M - Switch, English
Hewlett Packard's ProCurve Switch 8000M delivers 10/100/Gigabit performance and a high port density for your campus backbone. It has the ability to support up to 80 autosensing 10/100 ports. Its modular design can be reconfigured to up to ten Gigabit ports, 40, 100Base-FX ports or 40 10Base-FL ports. The ProCurve 8000M offers scalable connectivity with 3.8-19Gbps of total bandwidth. The ProCurve Switch 8000M is considered a Hewlett Packard Proactive Networking product because it takes care of your network for you. It features built-in management so you can see the whole network and proactively stay ahead of demand. It also incorporates a web-based, hardware agent for easy management from anywhere on the network. The ProCurve Switch 8000M allows for more uptime because HP Proactive Networking finds common network problems, fixes them (when possible) and keeps you informed along the way. The switch meshing feature provides redundant switch-to-switch links for maximum availability and performance. There is also an optional redundant power supply to ensure availability (click accessories area to purchase). There are many features of the ProCurve switch that give you greater performance and more control over your network. IEEE 802.1Q VLAN tagging provides maximum security while IP Multicast (IGMP) efficiently distributes video traffic only to subscribers. The cut-through layer 3 protocol filtering preserves bandwidth for authorized protocols. Cisco's Fast EtherChannel technology to combine multiple server connections for higher throughput and redundancy.
