The Orion 5001 provides M13 multiplexing in a compact, efficient form factor. The compact Orion 5001 fits well as a replacement for the traditionally bulky M13 multiplexers wherever rack space is at a premium. While service providers backhaul traffic between central offices on a T3, the Orion 5001 allows the enterprise to seamlessly distribute T1 service across its campus. Where mission critical applications require an always-on connection, the twin M13 modules provide 1:1 redundancy. Rapid, configurable switching between modules minimizes frame loss.
