The Kodak ImageLink Smart Cassette contains its own microprocessor to monitor film status. The Smart Cassette detects improper threading or loss of tension in the film. It shows how much film remains on a graphic display, as well as approximately how many more documents can be filmed as the end of a roll approaches - avoiding the need to stop and reload in the middle of a large batch of documents. In addition, the cassette provides for foolproof duo filming - at the end of a roll, the operator simply turns the cassette over and continues. Take advantage of the cost savings of duo filming and pack twice the number of images on a single roll! The Smart Cassette stores the job number, image mark level, image address, and mode setup data. When it's inserted into the film bay, the cassette automatically downloads this information, eliminating operator programming errors and saving time.
