Alcatel OmniStack 1024C - Switch - 24 ports - EN, Fast EN - 10Base-T, 100Base-TX
OmniStack is a series of small Ethernet and 10/100 switches that deliver powerful Switched Network Services, Fast Ethernet uplinks, ATM uplinks, Gigabit Ethernet uplinks, WAN uplinks, and layer-three switching, all at low cost. What sets these switches apart from other small switches is Alcatel's focus on power, flexibility, and network services. The OmniStack 1000 provides cost-effective, yet advanced, switching. The OmniStack 1000 supports 24 10BaseT ports and two Fast Ethernet ports. Various models have sufficient CAM (content-addressable memory) to support up to 1K or 4K MAC-layer addresses. One version provides two fiber-optic, Fast Ethernet ports, typically for redundant uplinks into a backbone switch. A second version provides two copper Fast Ethernet uplinks, typically for servers. A third version provides one of each. OmniStack 1000 is designed for workgroup applications with Ethernet workstations and Fast Ethernet servers and edge applications with Ethernet workstations and Fast Ethernet backbone links.
