The Fast Ethernet Network Module with Multimode Fiber connection supports Inter-Switch Link (ISL) over Fast Ethernet to ensure compatibility with Catalyst 5000, Catalyst 5500, and Catalyst 3000 switches. The module conforms to the IEEE 802.1Q Fast Ethernet specification, ensuring multivendor interoperability when the standard is finalized. A LED indicates when the network module is "Enabled" for operation and three additional LEDs indicate collision, link, and full-duplex operation status.
