StorCase Data Express DE100 80-pin SCSI WIDE ULTRA320 Carrier Only - Storage drive carrier (caddy) - white
The Data Express DE100 was created to provide a reliable and versatile removable drive carrier and receiving frame for 3.5" SCSI or AT/IDE devices for use in 5.25" half-height peripheral bays. The DE100 is constructed of solid steel, supports every standard 3.5" drive on the market, and also provides the options for an enhanced, bus-isolating hot swap capability (most models), a solenoid drive lock, and black paint. The DE100 is the largest series within the Data Express family of removable enclosures, in both the number of different models offered, and in sales volume. The DE100 provides a variety of interface types supporting Ultra ATA/100 and ATA/133, SCSI 8-bit and 16-bit single-ended and Ultra320 S.E./LVD. It also provides models compatible with single-connect 80-pin SCSI interfaces. The DE100 is an extremely reliable steel subsystem, competitive in both its durability and reliability. Similar competing products do not feature highly-rated (25, 000 insertions) mating connectors and may not be constructed of steel or offer enhanced bus-isolating (and/or repeater) or solenoid drive lock options, and/or do not offer all of the interface variations available with the DE100. DE100 Wide Ultra320 models are unique in that they can support LVD implementations capable of up to 320Mbytes/sec with up to fifteen LVD devices on one channel (within one chassis).
