Paradyne's 7123 DSU/CSU is designed to give customers an economical, highly reliable T1/FT1 solution with all the quality one expects from the industry's leading DSU/CSU provider. This single-port T1 DSU/CSU is designed to interface customer premises equipment (CPE) such as routers, channel extenders, multiplexers, front-end processors, and video teleconferencing equipment to either public or private T1 facilities. The synchronous V.35 DTE port supports data rates of Nx56 Kbps or Nx64 Kbps (where N can be from 1 to 24). Data rates for the DTE port are software selectable. The 7123 DSU/CSU provides a wide variety of diagnostic functions to facilitate device and facility maintenance, including loopbacks and pattern tests, device self test, error rate monitoring, health and status displays, and ESF statistics collection. The 7123 DSU/CSU may be remotely managed by a management system supporting the industry-standard SNMP protocols. The 7123 will act as an SNMP device agent and will support the standard and extended management objects that are applicable to SNMP-managed T1 DSU/CSUs. The device provides an Ethernet 10Base-T interface for NMS connectivity, which makes direct connection to a LAN hub possible, eliminating the need to use a router port or an external LAN adapter.
