IMC S2MM 1300 nm to 1300 nm - Transceiver - fiber optic - SC single mode - SC multi-mode - plug-in module
S2MM Modules are protocol-independent, mode conversion modules used to convert single-mode to multimode fiber using transmission speeds from 10 Mbps to OC3 (155 Mbps). Each S2MM module set consists of two modules. One module has one single-mode receive (RCV) port and one multi-mode transmit (XMT) port and the other module has one multi-mode receive (RCV) port and one single-mode transmit (XMT) port. The single-mode port is identified by a solid white bar on each of the module brackets. The actual wavelength conversion is performed on the S2MM modules themselves and only power is drawn from the MediaConverter chassis.
