In addition to innovative, industry-leading DSLAM and DSL endpoint solutions, Paradyne provides superior POTS splitters and filters. The Hotwire POTS Splitter and Filter family includes a variety of products designed to optimize performance for ADSL, RADSL, and ReachDSL deployments - for both the central office (CO) and the customer premises. POTS is the 4 kHz bandwidth service that delivers analog "dial tone" to your residence or business; it is used widely today for telephones, facsimile machines and modems. POTS filters and splitters enable high-speed DSL and POTS to share the same pair of wires. POTS splitters physically separate the voice signal and the DSL data signal into two separate connections. Paradyne has evolved the POTS splitter from a DSL transport specific solution to a common, universal solution required to operate with the line sharing technologies specified by the FCC. The technologies specified by the FCC to be acceptable for line sharing are ADSL, RADSL, and Paradyne's ReachDSL, formerly known as MVL (Multiple Virtual Lines).
