The Data Express DE50 is a durable, mobile drive carrier and receiving frame for internally mounting a 2.5-inch form factor IDE drive into a half-height, 3.5 or 5.25-inch (with provided adapter bracket) peripheral bay. The DE50 supports Ultra ATA/100 drives and is downward compatible with earlier-technology (66MByte/sec or 33MByte/sec) drives. This product is ideal for applications requiring the capacity and benefits associated with a removable hard drive, but where only a 3.5-inch peripheral bay is available for use.
